CEREMONIES

We perform a wide range of ceremonies for the couples to choose from. Or if you prefer you can mix and match from what I offer, also if you like you may write your own.

Many couples do exchange a few of their own words to each other that can easily be incorporated into any of the ceremonies as well.

If you have any questions and or concerns, please do not hesitate in contacting me through this website.

Thank you and I look forward to being part of your special day, and your celebration of marriage.

Here's a few of the ceremonies that I offer.

Hearts Treasure

It is fitting that your marriage is here at the Grand Canyon. For the beauty, depth and awesome wonder of this place are the same words that can be used to describe the love of a man and a woman: BEAUTY, DEPTH AND WONDER.

VOWS
__________ have you come here today of your own free will and without any reservations, to take__________ as your lawfully wedded wife? If so, say I DO.

__________ have you come here today of your own free will and without any reservations, to take __________ as your lawfully wedded husband? If so, say I DO.

RING EXCHANGE
GOD, we ask you to bless these rings and those who exchange them.

__________ (repeat after me) with this ring – I pledge my love and faithfulness to you, today, tomorrow and always.
__________ (repeat after me) with this ring – I pledge my love and faithfulness to you, today, tomorrow and always.

APACHE PRAYER
Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be the shelter for each other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be the warmth for each other. Now you are two persons. Go now to your dwelling place to enter the days of you life together. And may your days be good and long upon this earth.
Treat yourselves and each other with respect, and remind yourselves often of what brought you together.
Give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentles and kindness that your connection deserves. When frustration, difficulty and fear assail your relationship – as they threaten all relationships at one time or another – remember to focus on what is right between you, not only the part which seems wrong. In this way, you can ride out the storms when clouds hide the face of the sun in your lives - remembering that even if you lose sight for a moment, the sun is still there. And if each of you takes the responsibility for the quality of your life together, it will be marked by abundance and delight. AMEN - AHO

PRONOUNCEMENT
Forasmuch as you__________ and __________, in the presence of GOD and these witnesses, have openly declared your wishes to be united in marriage by declaring your vows and exchanging of rings, I, by the virtue of the authority vested in me as an ordained minister of the State of Arizona, pronounce you husband and wife.
__________ you may now kiss your bride.
And now it is my pleasure to present for the first time

Touch of Destiny

Good afternoon. We are here today to bear witness to __________ and __________ in their desire to enter into the Holy Bond of Marriage.
Of the three greatest institutions – The home, the church, and the state _ the home is the most sacred, in the consummation of the first marriage. The woman whom God made as a helpmate for man was not taken from his head to rule over him, nor from his feet to be trampled by him. But from his side that she might be his equal. From under his arm that she might receive his protection, and from near his heart that she might own and command his love. The relationship of a husband and wife is the most sacred when it is the “two souls with a single thought – two hearts that beat as one.”

HAND CEREMONY

Please face each other and take each other’s hands so that you may see the gift that they are to you.
These are the hands of you best friend, strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.
These are the hands that will work along side of yours as together you build you future.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes, tears of sorrow and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will give you support and encouragement to chase down your dreams.
These are the hands that will hold you tight as you struggle through difficult times.
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.
These are the hands that will lift your chin and brush your cheek as they raise you face to look into the eyes that are filled with overwhelming love for you.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for you, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

VOWS

__________have you come here today of your own free will and without any reservation, to take __________ as you lawfully wedded wife? If so say I DO.
_________ have you come here today of your own free will and without any reservation,
to take __________ as you’re lawfully wedded husband? If so say I DO.

RING CEREMONY

God, we ask you to bless these rings and the two who exchange them. Fill them with your presence. Keep them safe in the circle of your protection and love.
I __________, with this ring, I pledge my love faithfulness to you today, tomorrow and always.
I __________, with this ring, I pledge mu love faithfulness to you today, tomorrow and always.
__________ and __________, you are connected in a way that goes beyond romance, beyond friendship, beyond what you’ve ever had before.
Your relationship has defied time, distance and changes in yourselves and in your lives.
It has defied every explanation except one- purely and simply, you’re soul mates intertwined.
It’s the way your spirit lifts whenever you talk, how the sound of each other’s voices brings you home in a way you can’t explain.
It’s in the way you laugh at exactly the same things, how you think alike and how just a look can mean so much.
It’s how you cherish beyond measure, the devotion, trust and passion that grow stronger each day.
Because if these things, and so much more, you have a once in a lifetime, forever connection that could only exist between the two of you; an amazing gift from God.

And now it is my pleasure to present for the first time,

Grand Covenant

Of the world’s three great institutions – the home, the church, and the state – the home is the oldest and most sacred. In the consummation of the first marriage, the woman whom God made as a helpmate for man was not taken from his head to rule over him, nor from his feet to be trampled by him. But from his side that she might be his equal. From under his arm that she might receive his protection, and from near his heart that she might own and command his love.

The relation of husband and wife is the most sacred when it is that of two souls with a single thought – two hearts that beat as one. It is the blending of two lives together.
__________, you are about to take upon yourself a pure resolve, a solemn vow, and incurring grave and lasting responsibilities. The woman of your choice is the partner of you life, the coheir of your possessions, and the queen of your home. In no other way could she so manifest her love for you. She leaves her home ties, the companionship of friends, all these to share with you the joys and sorrows of life. With you she now abides, and for you she lives.

__________, you are also to assume grave responsibilities. He whom you are about to wed will look to you for solace in the hour of trial. Your smile should be his brightest day, your voice his sweetest music, your industry his greatest wealth, your economy his safest steward, your lips his faithful counselor, your prayer his most able advocate at heaven’s court.

_____ and _____, you are to become one. There are ahead great adventures in your lives that you will share together. You will share the storms as well as the good times. Just remember you are one, no longer to fight the battles of life by yourselves. Lift one another in prayer, in God, and in love.

___________, do you come here today of your own free will and without any reservation, to take __________ as you’re lawfully wedded wife? If so, say I DO.
__________, do you come here today of your own free will and without any reservation to take __________ as you’re lawfully wedded husband? If so, say I DO.

Who gives__________ to be married to __________?

RING CEREMONY

__________, what token do you give as evidence that you will keep you marriage vows?
You have for this purpose selected a ring. This ring is the token of your marriage covenant. It is made of the precious and enduring metal, and thus fittingly represents the ties which bind husband and wife. The ring an endless circle until broken by some outside force is a symbol of the unbroken “union” that should continue until broken by death.
__________, will you take this ring and place it upon the finger of __________, and say after me:
I,__________, with this ring do wed __________ and with my worldly goods I entrust and by this act declare in the presence of these witnesses I take __________ to be my beloved wife that I will be unto her a faithful husband.
__________, what token do you give as evidence that you will keep your marriage vows?
You too, have selected a ring with its symbolism of enduring ties and unbroken union.
__________, will you take this ring and place it upon the finger of __________, and say after me:
I, __________, with this ring do wed __________ and with my worldly goods I entrust and by this act declare in the presence of theses witnesses I take __________ to be my beloved husband that I will be unto him a faithful wife.
__________, just as the ring compasses __________ finger, so are you to compass her life with strength and protecting love.
__________, just as this ring compasses __________ finger, so are you to compass his life with encouragement and protecting love.
Now let me speak to your hearts, I change you both as you hope for happiness in your married life, to be true to these vows you have made to each other.
With your marriage, from this day forward, you begin life anew, with larger responsibilities.
__________, guard well your bride who now commits herself into your keeping, and strive so to live that no word or deed of yours shall cloud her brow with grief, or dim her eyes with tears.
__________, it will be your part to strive to retain by your virtues the heart you have won by your graces.
To you both I would say, let not your voices lose the tender touch of affection, nor eyes forget the tender ray with which they shone in courtships day, and greatest of all – let God be enthroned above all else at all times

--------------------PRAYER--------------------

Now having heard you make these pledges of your affection and take these vows of fidelity, I do by the authority vested in me, as an ordained minister in the State of Arizona
Pronounce you husband and wife
__________, you may now kiss your wife.

It is my privilege to introduce for the first time:
Mr. and Mrs. __________________________

Sacred Promise

Let us take a moment to open our hearts to love's presence revealed in the nature around us...in the earth and sky, in the trees, the breeze, the sounds of the birds...Also, let us be aware of that same presence as it stirs within us, expressing itself through our emotions of joy and happiness... but most importantly as it radiates in the love of __________ and __________.
This is a new beginning for both of you and I'd like to offer some gentle reminders to ease your life-long task of living and growing together. Be kind to each other. And when you disagree, do it respectfully.
Be gentle and forgiving with each other. When you forgive, your hearts make room for a little more love, a little more understanding, and a little more compassion.
Communicate with each other. Share the joy that's in your hear and the sorrow that burdens your soul. Open your hearts to each other and find love.
(Native American Blessing)
Above you are the stars, below you are the stones.
As time does pass remember:
Like a star should your love be constant.
Like a stone should your love be firm.
Be close, yet not too close.
Possess one another, yet be understanding.
Have patience with each other, yet understanding.
Have patience with each other, for storms will come, but they will go quickly.
Be free in giving of affection and warmth.
Make love often, and let not the ways of words of the unenlightened give you unease.
For the Great Spirit is with you, now and always.
(Ring Blessing)
Circles have no beginning and have no end, and so in the long and sacred tradition of marriage rings have come to symbolize eternal love and endless union of the body, of mind and spirit.
(Pronouncement)
Father Sky and Mother Earth, creator and nurturer of all life, We give heartfelt thanks for the moment that brought __________ and __________ together in the holy state of marriage. Now as you __________ and __________ have consented together in matrimony and have pledged your faith to each other by the giving and the receiving of these rings, before each other. I by the virtue of the authority vested in me as an Ordained Minister of the State of Arizona, pronounce you husband and wife. You may seal your union with a kiss.
And now it is my pleasure to present for the first time Mr. and Mrs.___________________
