His father put a camera in his hands at a very early age and showed him how to make images. He has not been without a camera in front of him ever since.

Scott Woods arrived at the Grand Canyon in 1981.Standing on the rim of the canyon, he knew that he would die here with his boots on.

He considers the Grand Canyon the backyard and he just loves to play in his backyard. He has explored and captured through his lens, the Grand Canyon and many regions off the beaten path in the Southwest. He has also accumulated numerous photography accounts in the local and surrounding areas of northern Arizona.

Prior to joining the staff of Grand Canyon Photography in 2005 as a Photographer’s Assistant and Ordained Minister, Teri McGowan worked in Hollywood California in the movie industry.

She has worked on feature films, productions, music videos, television commercials, and documentaries.

Teri has worked in a number of different capacities such as key grip, best boy grip, dolly grip, company grip, and gaffer. She began an Internship as a Key Grip on the feature film Inferno.

A professional photographer, her father carried the title of First Assistant Camera Loader in the motion picture film industry in Hollywood California. He was her inspiration and mentor from childhood. Teri learned the art of photography from the ground up when invited by her father to go on job sites with him. At the age of 18 and at the behest of her father;

  The Artist: (Susan Burton)
        Away In The West Fine Art Studio
 

Susan is a resident of the Southwestern United States. Relocating in 1998, she became a permanent resident of Northern Arizona. Her ranch and art studio are located 20 miles south of the Grand Canyon National Park.

She works primarily in her preferred mediums of graphite or Prismacolor pencils. However, Susan is also proficient in: soft pastel, airbrush, oil, acrylic, gouache and watercolor painting, and pen and ink technique; at times using a mixed media application to achieve a desired effect.

  The Poet: (Tom Scruggs)
 


Tom Scruggs has been an award-winning member of The International Society Of Poets for over 16 years.

He is a third generation Arizona native and has enjoyed the spectacular panorama of northern Arizona since the early 1950’s while following his fathers foot steps as a small boy.
